@tweezak Maybe TPTB are generously giving us more time to recover from the regret of that “IRK in the Wild” before we have to confront the decision of chancing another one.
Or, more likely, maybe no copy writer could be forced to deal with the choices among “Mehrathon”, “May-we-throng”, and “Merry Thong”.
Awesome! We did the 25th anniversary of RailWatch at the Folkston Funnel, visited Savannah, GA, attended the 52nd Sun 'n Fun airshow in Lakeland, and capped it off with the Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour here in Orlando!
@PooltoyWolf I would love to do Fun & Sun, The Oshkosh Fly-In, officially known as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh for the 1st time & to be able to do Sentimental Journey to Piper Haven 2026…
If you have not done the other two… well it is like the Triple Crown in Horse Racing!
Good April. Took a quick vaca for the wife’s birthday. She’s a big Elvis buff, so we went to Graceland. Highlight was three days with a hot tub, and I think I need one now.
Well I attended RavenCon for the Official 100th Anniversary of SciFi!, Amazing Stories partnered with RavenCon. You see the Founder of Amazing Stories coined the word Science Fiction aka SciFi. 100 years ago. I got the Proof.
Productive - I finally got a fence put up around the vegetable garden to keep the deer out. Maybe we will actually be able to enjoy some of the fruits of our labor this season!
Been dealing with the fallout of my father unexpectedly dying at the end of March. Aside from the “normal” hard things to deal with when a parent dies, he left me a hoarders’ black-mold-filled trailer to deal with, in which he probably taped his life savings to the bottom of a ventilation duct or something.
@pyroguy7 Your user name invokes one solution, but TPTB would seriously frown on that, even if you explain it as a “controlled burn”.
Personally I’d start by running an ozone generator enclosed in there for several hours at a time (buy or rent, not that expensive), then airing out for another day. Don’t spend time in there while it’s running.
After that treat mold spots with a good fungicide. Best I’ve found is “Mold Armor”. $12 spray and $40 refill jug (at Lowes) will get you through it.
Even when dead, mold spores can be toxic, so respirate inside around the residue, before, during, and after spraying.
Good luck finding the stash, hopefully at least $200, more than enough to cover expenses. Plus some memorialabilia. Condolences!
No one asks anyone who has anything to do with preparing taxes that question-the best is that they are still alive and breathing and the scars are not noticeable and the worst I don’t even want to think about.
Honestly April was always nice but I think she rolled her eyes hard when we made generic jokes/complaints about the rain. And probably was sick of it. She was an excellent BA.
I would never remotely blame her for this mess.
Only May I know is C&R and. At least she’s well equipped
April was wonderful.
Weather was stellar, cool nights and pleasant daytime temps. Excellent for working on the yard. Got the veggies all planted and they have gotten a jump on the season. Did some traveling as well so there’s that too. Worked a few days in the ER so I kept those skills up as well. Overall a great month.
So far Mayes following the same footsteps. It’s been remarkably temperate for this time of year locally. Normally we have had temps in the 90s by now. Plus we just got four inches of rain over the last few days which is going to help tremendously.
Blessed beltane everyone
She was pleasant enough when I told her she’d have to wait another hour before leaving.
It’s Meh Day! Why aren’t we having a Mehrathon?

This April had the worst storms, and not the kind that have rain.

POPSOCKETS! SPA KITS! POLLY POCKETS! AWESOME!

Best friend was told her needed open heart surgery ASAP and my sister’s dog has 3 weeks left due to heart failure.
@ragingredd that is so very sad, they are Family! But at least there is the Rainbow Bridge!
@ragingredd It doesn’t seem right to click “like” on this post, so I’ll just add that I hope the surgery has the best possible outcome.

Terrible month.
Kinda dying.

@pyroguy7 here’s a discussion giving a lot more insight on the use of ozone generators
@pyroguy7 Making any progress on the trailer? Inquiring mehnds need to know.
Another aspect I just ran into. Be careful of anything resembling rodent droppings you run into:

@phendrick wow, what a tale from that guy that ran the ozone generator for “way too long.” Great cautionary tale, at least.

Seems like a majority of us, life is just sucking hard.
@ragingredd Always has.
I always like thinking there’s always at least three takes, but often there’s two really obvious takes.
In this case, there’s those that can’t live with it and those that can (and those that actively seek it).

On a personal level, April 2026 sucked FAR less than April 2025. That said, Go, Calendar, GO!
